Jim Brennan, Founder & President, has been in construction as far back as he can remember; from a teen working with his brother in California, to his days of big timber in the Colorado Mountains, and to his final destination of Priest River, ID where he moved to raise a family.

Cornerstone has endured and prospered throughout the years – through booms & recessions - based on our integrity, reputation, and quality of work. Never satisfied, we are continuously looking for ways to improve and are constantly adapting our system to the demands of our customers.
To this end, we use a very simple but often overlooked strategy in the building industry; we listen to our customers so we can adapt our system to their needs and wants. Through this, we have come to the understanding that our customers are busier than they have ever been and they desire a Contractor - whether it be for a custom home, a commercial building, or a production home – that can make their building experience as simple, enjoyable, and rewarding as possible.
You answered, we listened. To achieve this, we have created a team that allows us to manage every aspect of the construction process from pre-design to delivery. We form alliances with property owners, realtors, architects, structural engineers, specialized trades people, local governments, and banks and lending firms. We have even built a showroom that allows you to view and compare products under one roof, in one setting. In essence, we perform all aspects of your construction needs under one roof, leaving no room for error and providing you ease of mind throughout the process.
With our current experience, extensive team of quality subcontractors & craftsmen, and our simplified construction system, we honestly believe we are the premier builder of North Idaho & Eastern Washington. No other builder can match the system and relationships we have developed over the last 30 years of work in our local communities.
